The project is named after the known film director and producer.

Many blockbusters like “The Hunger Games” and “Inglorious Basterds” have been filmed on the property. In order to shot the entire scene at one place, the cinema of the blockbuster “Inglorious Basterds” was built in the existing building of the property. The property consists of many hangars and a pier for boats. A bridge constitutes the entrance of the property. The quarter will be developed in two phases – apartments and commercial facilities, e.g. supermarkets, are being built. The whole project will be architecturally designed in cooperation of Max Dudler Architekten and MVRDV.
